Louis Vuitton Licenses UNKLE’s “Looking For The Rain” for Fall–Winter 2026 Show.
“Looking For The Rain,” co-written by Matthew Puffett and UNKLE and featuring the late Mark Lanegan, has been licensed by Louis Vuitton for the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall–Winter 2026 Collection, presented in Paris on Tuesday, March 10th at 11:30am.
The piece formed part of the soundtrack accompanying the unveiling of the new collection during Paris Fashion Week.
Originally released by UNKLE and featuring the unmistakable voice of Mark Lanegan, the piece continues to find new audiences through film, fashion, and visual media.
The journey spans more than fifteen years, beginning with an early demo created by Matthew Puffett. After being invited to collaborate and co-write, he pitched the piece to childhood friend and collaborator James Lavelle during an early A&R meeting, when Lavelle was selecting demos to develop for UNKLE’s fifth studio album, The Road: Part I. The piece continues to resonate across different creative worlds.
